Yes & yes. However I would prefer that you get some easy trail time in prior to this just just to break in the gears.

Me on John Bull. Ended up need to winch. Only took about 6" of winch for the front to get traction and get up.
In my defense......This is where most people have trouble.

So...what you're saying is "sliders mandatory?"

I'd love to go but I'll just be getting back in town from Sequoia. Have fun out there.

I was asking on Facebook for it too.. Now I can't find it.. And I think the cameras got put away once the sun went down and the temps dropped below 25. This adventure may have been lost in digital media land and may now only be a campfire story.

In another note, I just realized field day is that weekend on the ham radio. I think i right camp overnight somewhere and play radio too.

I did a little research on everyone's behalf...and found this:

West Coast Meet 2008

Aaron Spotted LOTS of people through out the night... HUGE Thanks!

Oz & Creek in a 'situation'

Jeffenger...oops

This is about 1/3 of the way through John Bull, way after midnight and this is where my camera got put away for the night/morning

Pavement the next morning:

Post #21 by Steven is where the good pics begin...of the evening shenanigans on John Bull with Oz, Creek, et al.

My fave pic is taken the next morning of the line up of rigs on the highway.

I did John Bull with Jason wolfman x back in 2006 with a stock 2005 off road with sliders no winch no getting stuck! It was a blast but nail biting! The rock garden was beyaaaatch!

Sounds like fun!
