There is still a pretty good chance of going even if you are on the waiting list.
From what I understand and experienced at Desert Rendezvous, a lot of people bail at the last minute.

If people are down for it, It would be cool to camp together.

There are 120 rigs registered with a small waiting list.  

It's more of a get together kick back sort of event, kind of a choose your own adventure deal.
"Most" of the rigs aren't super hardcore like your Pathy, but I'm sure if you came you could find someone to trail run the hard stuff with you.

Probably the back way up the 38.  Thats closest to the site right?

The camp entrance is located at N34 09.913' W116 53.697
Just copy/paste that into google maps and it will give you directions.

Looks like I'm coming up 38 as well. 

They've made it pretty apparent that there will be no entry before 12pm on Friday.  Might have a conga line on the side of the road waiting to get in,

Make sure you have $30 cash (exact change) and your hold harmless agreement signed and ready to go.
