Added a bunch of stuff:
1) Installed a "Rugged Trail" (eBay special) PML on 8/9/14 - 1.5" lift in the rear via a new shackle and 2.5" lift in the front via a spacer. I LOVE the new ride height. I am getting very minimal coil bucket contact at full droop (so far, I've only noticed it going over speedbumps really fast) and it's really not that bad. I may just install some soft bumpstops and be happy with it. If it bugs me enough over time, I'll look into some new UCAs.
2) Installed Bilstein 5100 shocks all the way around on 8/9/14. Front are adjustable and I have them set at one notch above stock height, just to preload the OEM springs just a tiny bit in compensation for the weight from the winch up front (this added about 1/3" to the front end ride height also). After installing these, it rides like a Cadillac on the highway.
NO COMPLAINTS at all. I've read alot of people talk about how these ride really rough, but I presume those people are trying to lift their front end using the "adjustment" on the shocks and losing all of their droop capability, resulting in a stiff ride.
3) Installed a Masterpull 75 foot long 3/8" synthetic winch line with G110 Combi hook and aluminum Hawse fairlead on 8/13/14. Picked this up brand new still in the package off of a local Jeep guy on CL for a screaming deal. This replaced the steel cable on the Badland Harbor Freight winch to reduce weight on the front end, and it's SO MUCH easier to handle. Now I just need a solution for remounting my front license plate, since the old one snapped onto the roller fairlead.
4) Installed a set of 265 75 16 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs on 8/13/14. I opted to stick with the 265 75 size (which is actually a slight increase in size over the 265 70's the S trim level came with) because this is my daily driver. Plus, I wanted to keep my spare under the back of the X and I've been told I can't run a 285 sized spare under there with the hitch.
