I think Danny recommended Bass Pro Shop off the 15 in Rancho Cucamonga.

Nothing official yet.

Sucks you can't make it Jordan.

Post #2 updated with info, meet times and locations.

There are a series of locations and places to meet
1. Walmart on Friday morn
2. Kennedy Meadows campground on friday.
3. Black Rock on Saturday morn.

Please let me know where you plan on jumping in. If someone is running late, I don't want to leave anyone behind.

Bummer,
Looks like the entire forest is on campfire restrictions and you need a permit to operate a stove.
The permits are free and can be had at the ranger stations.

Can you use one of those propane deals?

So, I was looking at the propane campfire in a can sort of deals.  I think that it would be a great addition to the camping set up for those times you can not have an actual campfire, however by the time you buy it and a 5lb tank, you're getting close to $200.  I will get one, but probably not for this trip.

I ordered a propane fire pit from amazon.  It should come it time for the trip.  I plan on using the 1lb green bottles unless anyone has a tank.

You're a stud!

Which one did you get?  I know the campco red deal needs an adapter to work with Coleman sized tanks. I have many halfway deleted green bottles. I will bring some

I'm getting excited for this trip.

If anyone had a spare fishing rod I may be able to buy it off them, also we will be there Friday morning at Walmart what was the word on the Friday night pot luck?

One last thing, does a co2 tank make a good portable air up device? If so what sort of regulator set up would I use? Google only showed a couple things.

Co2 is great as long as you have atleast a 10lb bottle, little 20 oz ones are no good.

Hey Danny,

I'm sorry but I'm out for this run.  Work is going to keep me close this weekend.

Have fun everybody.

The fire pit I got was the campco 58041 portable one.  I also picked up the adapter for the small bottles.  It is arriving today, so we should be good.

I'll be meeting up on Friday morning at the Walmart also.

Just got back from a long weekend in Mammoth, great temperature, lots of afternoon rain.  You guy make sure to take slickers with you, rain everyday around 4:00 to 7:00.

Have fun! :)
Be careful when you follow the masses..... sometimes the "M" is silent.
