Hello from Torrance
« on: October 16, 2014, 10:09:50 PM »
Hi all

Just checking in here. I came from Expedition Portal but found this site and finally registered. Name's Richard and I'm in the Torrance/RPV area. I'm still a bit new to the offroading/Xterra experience, but a repeat Nissan owner (had a 95 Maxima that I tinkered with too).  Picked up a 2004 Xterra XE 4x4 last year in October and have been playing a lot with it since. Looking forward to meeting you all.

Yep I finally made it on here. Thanks! :)

We tried and looked like we knew what we were doing. Actually knowing what we were doing, was a whole other story... It was about 23degrees at night when we rolled into camp and we were having major issues getting the campfire started since there was so much moisture in the air. It was kind of fun sleeping on the snow though.

I'm definitely up for another round of snow camping. It was a great experience, but now we have better gear to cope with the cold.

I have yet to see a modded Xterra in the entire South Bay area. I usually pass through San Pedro on the weekends to visit the girlfriend in LB so I'll have to keep an eye out for you. Good to know there's someone local!
