Signed everything and sent it right back on USPS's fastest snail.
The permit will be signed by the superintendent then emailed back to me. We are on que to at least have a digital copy of the permit by mid week.

You're awesome Danny!!!  Thanks for handing this for all of us!

Hey guys, I'm grabbing a bunch of firewood from Celt's dad house. I live in hemet, so if you haven't purchased firewood for the trip yet you can stop by my house and grab a bundle or two. I also plan on bringing out quite a but of extra. Shoot me a text if you're interested. 760-594-1783

Do any of you guys that have been on this run before have a list of 2M HAM repeaters that work well so I get them pre-plotted?

Erik...believe it or not, ham repeater coverage inside the preserve is very sparse.

Here is a link to a focused discussion on repeaters/freqs. for the Mojave Road on EP:

Mojave Road Repeaters

Scroll down to post #6 for a cool link to a map that shows Newberry Springs/Barstow/Needles as the only repeater coverage outside "The Road".

Hope that helps!  :)

I was thinking about noon-ish myself from the Temecula area. Going to take the I-10 and go up through Twentynine Palms and Amboy instead of the traditional I-40 route, just to enjoy the desert drive a little more. Any SD folks heading up around the same time that want to caravan? I'm a little flexible on time but want to get to Laughlin soon enough to enjoy myself a little.
