This is the beginning of the trail just after the first gate for those of you familiar. The trail used to be at the top of the walls.  All of this was caused by the flooding last week.

I wish I could post a few pics of how I got stuck in a different spot but they're too big.  I learned a lot of lessons on this trip.  The Right front wheel was hanging over a hole large enough to swallow the entire vehicle.  The only thing that stopped me from falling all the way in was the hefty fabworks front bumper getting jammed into the front wall of the hole and a rock.  Erosion and the lack of a spotter contributed to the incident.  The extraction would've been better had we secured the front somehow instead of letting the rig roll into the tree.  Several dangerous procedures could've gone differently.  Thankfully they didn't. No one was hurt and my Frontier buddy and I learned a lot.

Great video!

Esp the second clip (Extraction!).

Just to clarify:  The tree bumping was facilitated by a little ghost rider action?  ;D

Well done, on the driving and the filming.  Bee canyon looks to have changed a lot since I've been there.  Time for me to go again!

Here is a video of the first portion of the trail after the trail sign.  There are changes to the trail at the first sign and afterwards.  The original trail is partially present at the top of the wall to the left.  Half of it was washed away.

Thanks RB.

Agreed...the ground just disappeared.  I'm not sure if it was eroded underneath and crumbled as soon as my wheel touched or if there was nothing there to begin with.  It was in my blind spot until I was in it and the right rear was about six inches from the soft wet sandy edge.  Pucker factor was certainly high.
