Topic: Cleghorn Friday 12/26/14

Hey guys and gals, is anyone up for a Cleghorn run this Friday (12/26)?

I would like to meet at the trail head around 10:30AM and start the trail no later than 11AM.

I was there a couple weeks ago and the main fire road trail was so washed out from the rain in sections, I had to walk it to make sure it was still the main trail and not one of the crazier off shoots. It was more fun and challenging than it normally is, but I was able to complete the trail and some of the off shoots completely stock, surviving with all 4 mud flaps still intact as well. I have since removed the mud flaps to keep from damaging the fenders and bumpers. I am going with a couple buddies of mine that will be in a FJ Cruiser and a Titan.

I can't wheel all day but I might be able to cruise around for a bit.

This won't take all day. The run will take maybe 2-3.5 hours tops depending on the size of the group.

 Group size is key. No worries, I live close enough, I can just peel off and call it a day anywhere on the trail. That's the nice thing about Cleghorn, you could always jump on the fire road.

Personally, I'll be mostly sticking to the main trail, because I am not ready to thrash my X...yet. There are a few off shoots though that are fun enough to do that won't ruin your rig, so that will be nice. And hopefully the main trail is still all rutted out, like when I was there last, because it will keep things fun as well!

 That's the best thing about Cleghorn, there is something for everybody.

My X already has a lot of "character." The Goon is  like a bulldog, she's so ugly she's beautiful. I like to play on the off chutes

  I completely feel your pain................ The re-hydration and ibuprofren technique has been to no avail as of yet.

But I didn't reinforce a weak point that James warned me about and I broke the track bar mount in the Calmini Kit. It looks beefy, the welds look nice, but this still happened.
