Those mountain-top and canyon photos are spectacular Joe; shows how wide open it is out there.
Anyone happen to catch those jets cruising over us at about 200 feet? ;D

Thanks for the compliments guys. :) None of us were ready for those jets, but being a photojournalist has taught me to ALWAYS be at least somewhat ready. This was the best we got...

I had my dashcam rolling as well, but I haven't had a chance to go through the video and see if it came out good or not. The problem with the dash cam is that the lens is so wide, everything right in front of you looks much further away so it could be too small to have captured the moment.

Looks like it was a fun time. 

That campsite doesn't look like the one we used in 2007, but it does appear to actually have a better view, and looks like a nice spot.

Did you get in a night run up the Goat Path of Doom to the mine?

He had a buddy with him that hit us a lot lower and alooooooot louder. The second one was right over us.

Here's what I shot of the jets, and a few seconds of Motorpig77 catching a little bit of air (language warning - there are a few four letter words used when we get too excited):



0317's (father-in-law's) video shows the second jet really well. You can't even see the second jet in mine because he was directly over my head. But you sure can hear it!

Sorry for the poor quality resolution. I turned the quality down a little to make sure I could record video the entire trip.
