I like the way you're thinking John. I'm not that great at cooking entire meals, so I'd like to volunteer to help the following way:

1) I'll bring the big boy 3-burner stove and 38" griddle, as well as a full 10 pound propane tank. We can use it for the PB Pancake breakfast, and any meals we need it for along the trip.
2) I'll bring my bbq attachment for the 3 burner stove and I will grill a whole bunch of italian sausage for the spaghetti dinner on Saturday night (the same sausage seen in the photos - last time I only grilled a few on my tiny setup. This time, I'll cook enough for the whole group on the big boy).
3) I can bring more "bacon of the gods" for the PB breakfast morning on the last day. I'm just concerned about having room to cook it if the griddle is being used for pancakes (it's a HUGE griddle, but it's not divided or anything so that makes it tough to do half and half with the bacon grease).

Is that enough contribution for the group? If not, I can also volunteer to bring/grill something one other night using the grill attachment (Carne asada? Hamburgers?).

This is awesome Joe...and thank you.  :)

So, we have:

Friday night:  Panamint Springs, everyone on their own
Saturday night:  Homestake Mine Camp - Spaghetti Night Dinner, GeoYota/Motorpig77 cooking, JFanaselle bringing his sausage.  ;)
Sunday night:  Eureka Dunes Camp - OPEN
Monday night:  Saline Valley Hot Springs Camp - OPEN
Tuesday night:  Saline Valley Hot Springs Camp/Tentative Camp Option - OPEN
Wednesday morning:  Peanut Butter Pancake Breakfast, GeoYota/Knightrider

This list would look so much better with trail pizza.  Just sayin...

Was there something specific about page 7 out of 28 pages (to date) that you wanted the lazy people to focus on? :)

I forgot regular people still use the default number of posts per page.   page 7 was the last page for me.

On another note:

while we anticipate having a pit toilet at each night camping spot, there is a possibility that plans get altered or locations get altered and we find ourselves out in the open with no facilities.

Also one pit toilet makes for a long line in the morning.

I will be bringing my PETT toilet. And I strongly encourage all to bring something because we will need to pack all our "stuff out"

There is no "Dig a hole in the desert".

The grand dunny tent lends itself to solitude as you read the latest gun and 4x4 magazines in the morning.

Both available on amazon.

This is a more economical solution so there is no reason to show up with out some means of putting it in a bag:)

This is the luggable loo on amazon
This is the preferred tool of Danny Grooters (he's kindaofBigDeal)

THis turns your stuff to gel and is a good solution for the home made kits

This is a WAG BAG
Ziploc bag
refuse bag
TP
Moist towelette
= 1 kit
Kit can be purchased in quantities that you may need
And put them in your tire mounted Trasharoo.

I do bring additional Toilet paper since that is a ridiculously small amount of TP

YMMV

Just a formal response to our text conversation, CHUSA:

The grill surface for my BBQ attachment is 16" x 24". Should be able to get a good amount of fish on there. If we can get half on the grill and the other half in pans on your burners on your trailer, we should be able to get it all cooked up pretty quick. That will also give us two different types of cooked fish, to give everyone a nice variety. :) I'll bring some cedar planks for the stuff going on the grill.

I'm happy to help on Tuesday night, let me know what else is needed for the cooking/food to bring. For the rest of the meals, my wife and I are both a pain as far as diets go, so most of the time we'll probably end up cooking for ourselves.

BTW, every time I've been out in the desert, I've always dug holes, especially when backpacking for 3 weeks. I know it takes longer to decompose, etc, but what's the major concern?

Regarding Tueday night dinner. We need a chef and 2 assistants. Mexican theme so throw some suggestions out there regarding Mexican cuisine.
SIde dishes should include veggies, bread(if applicable), fruit, etc... pick some thing and post up or send a PM to the chef that night.

Regarding Poop:

it does not decompose
it turns to mummy poop then gets blown by the wind. or if buried ... gets carried off by the next flash flood, dried and blown by the wind.

bring a porta potty of some type,
again we plan on camping next to a pit toilet on all nights but you never know what or where you will find yourself in.

Us So-Cal guys have had great luck doing Carne Asada for Mexican themed dinner nights. It's easy to bring along pre-marinated, and is quick/easy to cook. Pair it up with some corn and flour tortillas, shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole and freshly sliced tomatoes/lettuce/whatever other veggies you want. Someone else can heat up some beans/and or rice for a side, and it's a great meal that will feed a lot of people. Probably one of the easiest meals to make out there on the trail really. :)
