Made it back from Yellowstone late yesterday.  Time to get all the snow schmutz off the X and start prepping for next weekend.  I will be leaving work early Thursday and hope to be at camp before dark.  I got a new, bigger tent cot for Christmas and am looking forward to breaking it in.

Did you say hello to Yogi Bear while you were there?

I've been tracking the weather each day for what we can expect. What I'm getting is partly cloudy. Days will be mid 60's and the nights low 30's to high 40's by night #3. No rain and no projected wind thus far. So far so good!

For anyone interested in refueling along the way, Yermo Ca. gas prices are hovering around $2.76 and it's the closest refuel to Afton Rd.

Dude... that's cheaper than the gas station on the corner by my house. Not bad at all for the middle of the desert.

That's exactly what I was thinking too, just goes to show you how much $$ they add onto the price of fuel here.....

Gotta love the taxes and price gouging. Federal gas tax 18.4 cents a gallon State gas tax 42.26 cents= 79.06 cents for each and every gallon you buy. On the average I'm paying about $18 a tank in taxes alone.

Can't wait to head out on the road tomorrow!  I know it was mentioned before, but I don't really want to go through all the threads.  Where is the nearest gas station to the campground?
