Mine is VERY functional! I'm so happy I got one. I notice a huge difference just driving around in the daytime, and an even bigger difference when my light bar is on at night. I guess it's probably a bigger issue with white Xterras because the light reflects so badly off of a glossy white surface.   :-\

It does actually cut down on the sun glare quite a bit, though probably not as much as on your white truck.  I noticed this because I drive straight east into the sun in the morning and then drive straight west into the sun coming home from work in the evening.  I haven't used it with the roof lights yet.

The black out does look good against the blue.

Installed White Knuckle sliders, Hep's designs roof basket, The Retrofit Source projector headlights, and HIDs in the roof lights this weekend. Check OP for pics.

I like it already, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it even more when I actually start heading out on long trips with you all and utilizing it for storage.

You'll love the dephep roof rack: low profile, very sturdy, and lots of mounting options/room for other accessories.

WOW!!!!  That's a sharp looking rig! Super clean look.  Really like the look of that bumper.  And I love our Hefty Skid Plates - cheap insurance and great protection.   ::) ::)

Thanks. I wasn't sure how such a minimalist bumper would look, but it turned out well.

Did you go with the steel skids or aluminum?
