Explain? What happened?

Was a big mess, my RCV's were taken out two days prior to leaving for Moab. They are solid, but the install had issues with the Icon's. Big long story that stripped the gears in the hub so mod's need to be made. That being said, to go to GONE, I put back the stock half shafts. On Hell's revenge at a lunch stop, I was explaining to Kenny exactly what happened and he wanted to see the area I was talking about with the RCV's. This was a good omen because while I was pointing out to him the issues I had, I could clearly see the driver OEM half shaft were dangling out of the front diff.  After limping out of Hell's Revenge in 3 WD used sparingly and dropping a decent amount of fluid along the way, I went to Terry's camp. There a mass of folks jumped in to help, Kenny, Steve-O, Steve, Terry, Scott, Dani, Joey, Sue and even Todd the Chihuahua stepped up to get me trail worthy the next day. Had a great BBQ getting that spider gear shaft out of the R180 diff and got me back on the trail with a HUGE thanks to Terry who had a spare output seal sitting around. One thing I can say is you will know who your friends are when you get into a sticky spot.

At the end many, many thanks to Scott and Sue for providing such a wonderful BBQ that fed everyone who jumped in to help me out.

In the end all I can say is Family is where it's at, thank you guys.

And, on top of all that, SCCX has the term 'CLUB' in it....which, in the event anyone didn't already know, WE ARE NOT.......which, can be confusing to say the least...

"A loosely associated band of merry men and women whom share a common interest in the outdoors and 4x4 vehicles"

Had to modify it from "nissan" to "4x4" on account of GeoTaco.

Also, seeing as we're not a club, club... I think the founders missed a real opportunity when naming our not club.

Instead of SCCX, it could of been SCXC.  Say that fast out loud.  Very fitting for our members.

Except, there is/was an SCXC....there's a guy here in town w/ a black 1st gen w/ an SCXC sticker on his rear window....pretty sure that 'club' died a quiet death

I didn't know I was so photogenic, Steve C that one was the first attempt at a field repair because we thought the shaft may have come out without breaking. Well wasn't long until we figured out it was snapped off and in the worst possible place inside that diff. After getting out on 3 wheel drive I limped it over to Terry's where the real fun began. The last picture is called The Drop, it's actually a lot of fun to do the obstacle.

We can make a club...if that's the direction everyone chooses.

Pros:
-actually a club
-hand pick/vote in members
-declare non profit status with the IRS...don't pay taxes on donations etc but must file each year as a 501.3C.
-actually organize a set of Bylaws, vote and accept protocols of said club
-recognition with CAL 4WD Association
-would need to be maintained by a passionate, and unselfish group of like minded individuals.
-dues collected to fund stickers, shirts, swag, etc.

Cons-
-see above

Once again, I must state for the record: We are not a club, we are enablers for your addiction.

This parts sucks. Trust me. It causes so many problems and people can get power hungry. And well that's why I got banded from AZXC for awhile even after I did all the work the get the club status back.
