Gold Mountain - Stock?
« on: June 18, 2015, 06:15:08 AM »
Hello everybody. New to this site and new to xterra's. Planning on heading down Gold Mountain this weekend. I have been up and down this trail a number of times in a few different style jeeps but never an x. Is there much to worry about as far as clearance on a stock X with 32" tires. Minus the step rails and mud flaps.

You should be fine. The steps might give you some problems, but a good spotter should get you threw it.

Trail was a little harder than I remember. Quite a few hits to the under carriage and a destroyed rear bumper end cap coming down the water fall.

It's because of two obstacles on that trail that it's rated black diamond. That being one of them.
