July 4th Bees Canyon and 4S21
« on: June 28, 2015, 05:57:12 PM »
Since there is no 4th of July runs planned here you go. If I get any takers I'll lead a group up bees canyon to 4S21. the trail is rated most difficult by the forest service, but is very mild and can be done in any stock 4x4 with 4low. We will end at the 243 where we will go our separate ways. Starting at 9am we should be done by 1pm, so everyone should have plenty of time to return to their evening festivities.

WHEN: July 4th, 2015 9am
MEET-UP POINT: Stater Bros. Markets 43396 Florida Ave Hemet, CA 92544
TRAIL: Bees Canyon and 4S21

Bring food and drink for lunch at the turn around point, 243

CB: Channel 24
FRS : 8-24
HAM: ??

Put me down as tentitive for this, just need to run it by the wife to see if her and the boy want to come. I would also suggest 146.535 (simplex) for the HAM frequency. Seems like what always gets used. :)

I would love to go on this one, but unfortunately work takes priority since this is a mandatory overtime day! I went up Bee Canyon two weeks ago and the trail is pretty rough...it used to be a 2wd friendly trail but not anymore.  The winter storms have made it ruddy with some decent ruts.  I can only imagine that the 4s21 is in just as bad shape! Have fun! I've always wanted to do that trail too! :(

Change my tentative to a definate. I'll be there with the wife and boy. See you tomorrow.

I can't believe we don't have more people jumping in on this. Come on people, you can still be home in plenty of time to BBQ and have some beverages! :)

Meet spot is 1.5 hrs away. Would like to go but it's a bit far.
