Hey Folks,

Going thru dirt withdrawals.  Our fix?  Saturday trip thru Rattlesnake Canyon to Burns Canyon.  Open to optional trails.

Anyone want to join us?

Time: 8 am in the blessed early morning

This is a great trail, with lots of fun, mild, challenging stuff.  Perfect time of year as well.

Normally we start at the trailhead  (247, coming out of Lucerne Valley).  But we aren't used to meeting up with a group and that is kind of a desolate spot to meet.  Where do you all normally meet up? Johnson Valley?

We can be at a meeting place anytime - 8 am earliest.....

And if you need to scope out specific trails for CANVAS, we are fine with you taking point, if you want. Green/Blue trails are fine. We just want to go play!!!

Plans have been moved to Sunday. Count me in for this run. I'll probably bring a friend or my brother along as well. Let me know when you decide a time.

As far as a meeting spot - something to consider is that anyone coming from SD or the southern part of the IE (like Randy and I) will probably take the 10 to the 62 to the 247. If people are coming from the Lucerne Valley side, the only place everyone would intersect is at the trailhead.

Exactly my point for the meeting spot.  We are coming from LV side. Doesn't look like there is any gas stations in Johnson Valley?

Edit - I just realized that google is pointing to a spot just slightly northeast of the actual location. The actual location is the intersection of Rattlesnake Canyon and Highway 247, which you can clearly spot on the map.
