Famous last words. Just be warned, the "mod bug" has a highly contagious venom and once it bites you, you might as well take out a second mortgage in preparation.
I bought my Xterra as a daily driver that I could use for "some recreation," and I planned to take it very easy with the mods. But hanging around with the folks on this page and getting a taste for what the Xterra can do will make the modifications like an addiction! Here I am, just a year and a half later and I've completely given up and even bought a separate car for commuting.
Isn't that the truth. I did go into my build knowing I wanted to do some mods, but it quickly snowballed even beyond "some."
If you're looking at sliders, look up White Knuckle. They're in Apple Valley, which isn't too far for you to pick up and you'll save on the delivery fees. The WK's look expensive, at first, but the initial price already includes coating. Once you start adding options to the other sliders out there, the price is pretty close across all brands. Also, since you can pick them up, you won't have to worry about the coating getting damaged in shipping.
Also, there are ton of knowledgeable people on here that have done all of their own mods. Get a pile of parts together and I'm sure we can make a mod day happen to help you out.
