Just a note, if camping supplies are the hold up between you going and not going, I know I would be happy to loan a tent or sleeping bag. (I'm pretty sure a lot of other guys would be, too)

As far as cooking gear (stove, etc), we typically do potluck style group dinners, so you can prepare a dish before hand that doesn't need to be cooked on the trail (salad, etc) or contribute food to the dinners that the group will cook up for you (those details usually get hammered out as we get closer to the trip). As for breakfast, we may or may not do a community breakfast, but you're more than welcome to use my stove in the mornings if you bring your own eggs/sausage/bacon/whatever.
I know it's early... but do we want to just call the two dinners spaghetti and carne asada now? I'm sure that's where we'll end up.
I'll offer up plenty of Italian sausage for the spaghetti night - it was a big hit on the Death Valley trip, and it's pretty easy to cook on the trail using the bbq grill attachment for my camp chef stove.
