Why are you guys driving into a dust cloud that you can't see through?

There are many things in the desert that don't have lights, and you still don't want to run into. 

Examples : jashua trees, tortoise, cliff, ex-wife (OK, that's a toss up), large rock, mail box, penny can, me with a dead battery or Geotaco's cell phone.

 I agree with randy, better to leave some space so you can actually see where your going.  dust lights are nice to be able to identify the vehicle in the dust ahead of you though.

Oh i agree, space is definitely the best option, but you never know when the little dust trail could get whipped up by the wind and turn into a good cloud. Lights will help, but it's probably safer to just stop in this situation.

In the dust of the desert space is your friend. Traveling in sand storms is super hard. The lights do help but also can cause problems too. Just like in the fog
