  Makers Mark............. Ohhhh Brother.

So I take it you don't have some sort of tracking sheet to keep track of who is bringing which brand of single-malt?

What about spare tire sizes?  Has that all been coordinated?

I could go on . . .

Sorry brother, I'm just not that "organized" with this bunch of motleys! I don't know, anarchy may be at rule here as the inmates surely do have the keys to the asylum! Shoot come to think of it, I don't even have a Bug Suit....

What about coming from North ??

About the closest I'm seeing is Baker Ca and they are hovering around $3.15 @ the Arco. The rest goes up pretty quick. Baker is one of those places where people stop half way going to Vegas so they really nail you at the pump. If you are coming down I-5 and take the 58 across it will dump you out right into the 15 at Barstow, then just a quick north to Afton past better fuel prices.

You all are more than welcome to pre-stage spare tires at my place, that way you know everyone on the trip has sufficient spares. I'm only a couple of hours away and can monitor my HAM and bring spares to anyone that needs them. :D

You know, I offered to keep everyone's beer nicccce and cold in my fridge during the last Mojave. Somehow, I was never taken up on that very kind and generous offer I made?

The radar map is currently showing the Baker area being slammed with rain.  Forecast for the trip - 60% chance of rain Thursday afternoon/evening, then clear the rest of the trip.  So dust shouldn't be a problem, but Soda Lake will be a quagmire.  Looks like we get to take the railroad route again this year.  I am going to keep my eye out for discarded raiload spikes - I foresee a couple of knife projects from the forge.  Anyone going to have room for a railroad tie or two for the fire?  It's going to be cold after this front blows through.

I agree, it's gonna be a mess on the lake and already planned on a re-route. I'm thinking it will be nicer weather than last year though at least going out based on the forecasts should they prove true. I "found" a ton of those spikes just laying around last time we went through. I'd be up for "finding" a few more for a knife project or two as well. If we really wanted to dismantle some of those old discarded ties a chainsaw might be the trick this time as there isn't any frontiers in attendance.

If I brought my chainsaw I would need to bring my generator to run it, so there goes that one.
