Topic: Overland Expo West May 20-22 Flagstaff, AZ

Just wanted to throw this out there to anyone who might not be aware of this and interested! I have not been to this, but it seems interesting. I am wondering if anyone has attended this event. Also wondering if there is a nice trail run that can be had in conjunction w the expo. A convoy to the expo w a trail run mixed in would be awesome. Anyone with knowledge of or interested in, post up!

Typically falls the weekend leading into GONEMOAB.
And has seen low activity from what I can tell within the Nissan community.

They have held it at Hollisterhills off road park in Gilroy Ca in years past.
Maybe I'll wait until it cycles back through California.

Ok thx for the info so far. Thats good to know. The more I look at it the more I wanna go. I think its the fact that about 10 years ago when I was driving big rigs I made a haul into Flagstaff and it made an impression on me! It was snowing and I just loved it! It was so different cuz b4 that point I had only ever driven to the hottest parts of the state and to finally be in a cold environment outta my state like that was just awesome. The scenery just blew my mind as well! The same thing happened when I drove for the first time into St. George, Utah! Snowing, cold weather with the red rock mountains in sight!U know shit u only seen in the movies until that moment! I have a huge affinity for beautiful natural landscapes! The reason I love driving and the outdoors!

I'll be there with AmericanAdventurist in their section.. First time there so it'll be an experience for sure. Last year's weather was quite a scene and mudfest. I'm looking forward to actaully camping in weather for once. Socal has been failing in that department for quite some time.

Ok before I get everyones hopes up high on this trip I just wanna state that this was supposed to be a feeler and since there hasnt been interest then nothing has been planned. Maybe we can check it out if it comes to California next year.

It's in the same location every year, so don't get your hopes up of it coming any closer.

Also if planning to attend, the full weekend package is probably best, and signing up for classes as soon as they are available is advisable as they fill up quickly.

We were just there...and it is a beautiful area with very down to earth folks.

Great mountain bike trails less than 2 miles from town, tons of free camping, and one of these right off the campus of NAU...

Which one of you guys made it to OvEx West? I spotted a lifted blue (? I don't remember the color) X with bumpers and stickers parked just outside the second entrance as I was leaving for home on Sunday afternoon around 3:30pm. Wanted to stop and say hi, but no one was in the vehicle.

That was me, i was working the whole weekend at one of the booths.  We saw the mass exodus on sunday and decided to stay until monday.

Nice. If I had known, I wouldve stopped by to say hi! I'm assuming you were at the ShiftPod booth? I was camped and working at the American Adventurist Booth just on the other side at OasisA. We tore down just as it turned 1500 so we didn't run into much traffic. It was pretty tempting to stay another night out in the forest though.
