Well chit...the group site is booked through October.  >:(

But, there are available sites on the Meadow Loop in clusters through out August weekends.  Lemme check with my better half, cause I know we have a trip planned sometime in late July/early August to Reno.

Toro...knightrider...you guys interested?  Anyone else wanna pedal amongst the pines?

Isn't it 1,000,000,000 degrees out there in August?

Na laguna is high altitude so it doesn't get too hot.

I'm down for camping, pedaling and hanging out with some good peeps any time.

My buddies got a Nomad. He calls it his cross country bike. His other one is a Nuke Proof Pulse. They are awesome bikes though.

Yep, I'm bumping this. It's been almost 20 years since I've really been on a bike. I picked up an old Specialized Rock Hopper. It's not even close to new or fancy by today's standards, but it should be good to get me back started again. Apparently, that front fork was crap during its day, so it's really crap now. I'll be replacing it in the near future. Any recommendations? I'd also probably need to enlist someone's help to do it. I only know the basics about bicycles.  I'm sure this will be a throwback for some of you all.

To be honest, it would be more worthwhile to put money into a newer bike. Unless you can find a new/used fork for free, same with the brakes, everything has been disc on MTB for awhile now. If you got disc brakes, you would have to upgrade your wheels too. That stem looks pretty long too, be very careful when descending, otherwise it will send ya OTB.
