That's good news Joe, fingers crossed.
Your Shell station makes more sense and 7:30 is fine with me.
Weekday trail traffic should be low.  In any case I don't want to involve the AAT boys.  As you said 'Oversight'.
Thanks for all the good input.

If I could voice my .02 in this even though I cannot attend, I think you guys should just get out there and remove it without anyone calling in. We are the ones responsible for this trail and have full permission to maintain it including that Olds that's been the topic of many a conversation. That being said, please record everyone's hours from door to door and post them up and I can get them recorded.

My 90% is now a confirmed 100%. See you guys Monday morning at 7:30 am! The address for the Shell station is:

39614 Los Alamos Road
Murrieta, CA 92563

If you're northbound on I-215 and exit at Los Alamos Road, just make a right and it's on the right hand side - you can't miss it. There's a Starbucks and a Cotijas Mexican Restaurant directly a cross the street, in case anyone arrives early and wants coffee or a breakfast burrito.  O0

Randy - will you have the trailer already, or are we making a trip into Hemet to grab it on the way?

Woo Hooooo, Joe and JT3 both locked in :)

Clint dropped off his trailer at my place last night.  Very Cool 8)

Any chance Jordan can bring his famous trany-jack?

I'm gonna bring basic rigging stuff; come-along, tie-downs, pulley and rope.

Maybe a generator and sawsall, no torch!

Maybe not, I'm gonna bring my jack just to help get the 'nose' of the Olds onto the trailer.

That would be great, mine is only 1400 watts.  I'll bring my extension cords.

If you guys think of anything else we can use, bring it :P

I'm bringing my little bro along as well. Brady was there when we winched it back up to the road last year, and he wants to come help us finish the job. He's got a nice dewalt 7 inch angle grinder that we'll bring too, since you guys are bringing the electricity. I just need to run over to Harbor Freight this weekend and grab some cutoff wheels for it. They throw sparks like crazy and I'd rather not use it if we don't have to, but I'd still rather have it if there's a particularly stubborn piece that we're trying to cut and the sawzall won't do it. I also have a nice sawzall I'll bring, and I'll bring some jack stands and 2x4s for cribbing, in case we need to brace or stabilize the Olds in any kind of weird position to help us load it up or cut it. I'd just rather be over-prepared than underprepared. Plus some straps, my winch (sounds like we'll have 4 or 5 winches up there!), oh and of course a fridge full of ice cold drinks. :)

Agreed. Just bringing it in case we end up in a situation where we have a stubborn piece that needs a couple seconds of attention, for example. I'd rather have it and not use it than leave it at home and decide that we needed it. But yes, reciprocating saws are absolutely the way to go with the current fire danger, and I'm bringing my reciprocating saw too  O0
