So I am heading out for the Nevada back country today until Tuesday.  I'll post my address next Wed.  I'll have at least 2-3 floor jacks and 4 jack stands as well as a somewhat decent set of tools. (I've done a suspension with what I have)  My compressor is pretty small but mostly gets the job done.  I have never been to any of the mod days so perhaps someone can fill me in on how things normally go.  What time do you start, seems somewhat early would be good in case things take longer then thought.  What is usually done with food.  I have an extra fridge in the garage for food and drink as well as a grill.  Fast food is near by as well.  Are any other "experts" planning on coming?
It usually gets started at 9:00am Front and back PRG lift kit will take at least 6hrs,
for food everybody pitches in (Cookies, Chips, Hot Wings ,Beer, Coke , Good beer for the Host etc...)

Of course anyone else with mods to tackle are welcome.  I have only seen Jayrat volunteering to come lend a hand, is anyone one else coming that has done some of these mods or is willing to lend a hand?  I have a Jeeper friend that is planning on hanging out, he'll probably do my harm then good as he is used to over complicated expensive mods on his Jeep.

Again, I have garage space and at least one part of the driveway that is pretty flat for suspension work, an easy up or two might come in handy as the sun gets higher.  My driveway is 4 cars wide so there is plenty of room for other mods that don't require level ground.  I'll have at least 2 or 3 floor jacks and 4 jack stands along with one set of the tools needed.  Since this is the first Mod Day I have been involved with I will probably keep it simple.  I have a  fridge in the garage, a grill anyone can use and there is fast food 1-2 miles away.  Bring any food and drink you want to eat and share, nothing formal.  Sat. forecast shows partly cloudy and 81 for a high.  If anyone wants to hang out and cool off, I have a pool with solar heat to wallow in as well but please bring a suit, its not Saline Hot Springs.

I plan to get started by 9 am and go until we are done, there is a OReillys part store a mile away if needed including some loaner tools.  My address is 13847 Sparren Ave. 92129 so let Google tell you how to get there.  Should be plenty of street parking if we are not wrenching on your truck.  If we get enough help I think we can bang out these mods fairly quickly so even more of us can get out in the back country and have some fun!

I'd love to come and help out, but I'm going to be in Gorman.  Though, if you all do get stuck on anything, I should be reachable by PM if needed.

All right, I've got a kitchen pass and can come help! Though I'm not that familiar with most of these mods I've done enough (changed shocks and springs all around) to be of help, I think.

It reminds me that I've got cam bolts I've been wanting to install, but the last time I checked the old bolts had still not freed up (following multiple PB soaks). I'd also like to replace an axle shaft (front diff to wheel), so maybe I'll learn enough this weekend to be able to do that.

I assume we're talking about Saturday. See you there!

My 2" spacers and shackles just arrived today!

I'll update if I can make this install meet tomorrow or Friday night. I'd have to find a sitter for our daughter.

I've installed the spacers before on my Frontiers, but never done it on an Xterra before. I've also never done shackles, but have watched videos and bookmarked a few thread on it. Doesn't seem too tricky. I took special note of how to use a ratchet strap to pull the OEM shackles off.

Sounds good I'll be up and about before that so I put everything in my car and hopefully find a donut shop to start off the day.

Spacer install on an xterra is the exact same, shackles are very simple too.

There's your "expert."

And he's young, which is great for heavy lifting/winch installs/as well as last minute riding short swaps.  ;)

I'm working (again) but may swing by on the way home to see 4 Xterra's in their natural habitat...in varying stages of repair up on jackstands in a driveway.   :D

I have plans for the morning, but will be able to stop by around noon-ish to lend a gloved hand....although, by then most of the work may be done and I can witness the cleanup :)

occupantX, are you sure you can handle the long drive to my house?  Jordan is close at 5 miles, you could just walk over.
