My wife got tired of knightrider making fun of her Pathfinder.
So, just like Sage Bromax's wife, she's decided to "go Rogue."
Sunday afternoon, we traded in her low-mileage 2014 Pathfinder SV for a brand new Rogue SV with the tech/premium package. There were many factors that went in to our decision, but it mostly came down to us not needing as big of a car as we thought we did when we got the Pathfinder. We actually traded in her 2008 Rogue when we got Pathfinder, and the experience has taught us that we don't need that large of a vehicle.
I learned that Labor Day weekend is absolutely the best weekend to buy a car. We got $3500 off the MSRP (from the dealership), $2,000 in rebates from Nissan, AND zero percent financing. In the end, my wife got a vehicle with significantly more features and luxuries than her Pathfinder, plus significantly better fuel economy, and our payment went down $80 per month. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
So we're keeping it in the Nissan family, once more. This is now the 5th Nissan we've owned (a Versa, a 2008 Rogue, the Xterra, the Pathfinder, and now the 2016 Rogue). I also can't say enough good things about Pedder Nissan in Hemet. Most people associate positive or negative feelings toward a specific brand, but the dealership is really your biggest touchpoint with that particular brand. And Pedder has always ensured that our full Nissan ownership experience is absolutely amazing. We had another very positive experience purchasing this vehicle, and they'll continue to see our business for years to come.
