No clue, I did average about 15 mpg according to the inaccurate gauge cluster(speedo and odometer read about 5% low) which for me was pretty good considering all the weight and large square pelican cases on the roof. 

I had the intention to log fuel costs and mileage but after about 3 fillups I said fuck it, I'm here to have fun not log stupid shit. :D

Worst tank was when I was out Cape Lookout on the outer banks, I think we drove about 150 miles and used about 25 gallons of fuel, most of that was blasting down the beach or the backroad behind the dunes through giant puddles :)

Also, even though regular fuel is much cheaper in most of the country, around $2.00 a gallon(lowest I saw was $1.80), premium is still around $3.00 whether it is 91 or 93.  Some stations were $.80-1.00 difference between regular and premium. 

My truck uses premium due to the tune so I did not save very much despite "cheap" fuel prices outside of california.

Also rough calculation is $1000 for gas, plus maybe a few hundred for Steve as we alternated fill-ups for the portion of the trip he was on.

All lodging was free by either camping, using reward points for hotel stays or sleeping on my sister's couch in San Antonio while she was in Japan.
