I'm planning to bring the wife and boy also. He'll loving having Tre and Aiden there also :)

Also, I have a "big red campfire" that I can bring for our group, since the fire restrictions are in place as usual. I have a 10 lb propane tank I can bring, but might need help from the group with more propane if we use it a lot.

Is this the same weekend every year, how are the temps usually?  Do you all do a pot luck or anything together for food?

It's roughly around the same time of the year, not a specific date tho.  elevation is about 6500' and temps are normally pretty mild, probably 70's during the day, 50's at night.

Saturday night is the dutch oven competition and potluck.  most people just do their own things for the other nights but we have enough people where planning meals could be nice.

When you say " dutch oven competition and potluck" thats is for all 150 people/units/trucks, right not just the sectioned off Xterras?  How many Xterras should end up grouped together?  Are we expecting anyone from the "Book of Face" group to join as well?

If you get cold there is a local Ursus Tyrannus you can snuggle up with to keep warm. If that doesn't work maybe there will be a bottle of Maker's Mark being cracked open.....   :o

Potluck competition is for the entire AAV event.
If you cook, you get to eat first.  Prize for dutch oven comp is usually a Tembo Tusk Skottle as Jerry typically sponsors the event.  (deserts and mains are separated with mains winning the Skottle and deserts winning some other prize.  I can't remember what that is off the top of my head)

According to the list on the first page of this post, we have 17 trucks from our group and related groups coming.  (people we know)

If we can snag the same spot as last year, we should be fine on space.

If you end up hungry after the Dutch Oven competition, you're doing it wrong

I don't think any of the bookface people are aware of AAV except the few that visit here, all the black sheep Nissan people at AAV events come from here.

Is anyone interested in planning other meals like Sat/Sun breakfast or Friday night dinner?
