Nah... my folks are coming in to town this weekend and want to stay at the house with him. He'll have more fun at home with them, and we'll have more fun camping on our own. It's a win/win.

According to the Weather Channel, there is an 80% chance of rain Saturday, with thunderstorms. I will bring a pop up canopy, and I'm sure Lemans will bring his as well.

Mountain thunderstorms = a LOT of wind. Just be prepared to pull those awnings down in an instant if need be.

Just a little heads up.  If you want to get to our camp site faster, to guarantee a spot, PLEASE download, print and fill it out the "Hold Harmless" waiver NOW.  It's on the AAV MRV page nearish the top, in green highlight..  See ya there ;)

I'd go with you, but I'm part of the first wave in the morning. I plan on leaving Orange no later than 10:00AM.

Actually that's the 2nd wave, we're meeting at 0730 AM.  See ya at camp.

I printed out fifty blank ones to give to the check-in people.

So almost everything is packed and ready to roll.  Just need to add the last of the food, the dogs, and us!

Well, I started packing and it was still too hot outside. I said to myself, "Self" it's time to stop this foolishness. Guess I'll have more to do tomorrow.

I dealt with the heat inland, you're on the coast... Stop complaining, lol.  I wish I could pack tomorrow, but I have to have the car locked and loaded to take to work with me in the morning. Game plan is to be heading up the mountain around 1-130, I'll be on Redlands so it won't take too long from there.  See everyone tomorrow!

I'll be getting on the road really late :( Looks like I'm going to be stuck at work until 4:00 pm or so today. Other than jockeying for a spot, what are the major downsides to showing up at 6:00 or 6:30 pm? Am I better off to just wait until Saturday morning?

Not that I can think of.  Come on out, we'll have a spot saved for you.  RHIP
