As we all know.. Tim @CAWoody is the man!

Opened up his garage to me and @x4jz on Saturday to do throw some mods on. Didn't probably expect me to come over with a whole catalog full of parts to install... but powered through a long day helping me get it all handled. Couldn't have done it w/o him.

Ryan (sorry bud, don't know your user handle) came through and lent a hand for a while too.. and Spencer @ultraPC40 came in clutch at the end of the night to help us bang out the rear suspension and the bumper install.

We started from basically stock + wheels/tires and added T-swap 2.5" resi Radflos, SPC UCAs, OEM LCAs/Tie Rods, Radflo 2" rears, OME MD Dakar pack, Hefty Skid (radiator skid went in, saving engine skid for another install day), Hefty rear bumper/carrier, and 2" bora rear wheel spacers.

Only thing left to install out of my pile of stuff is the engine skid, light bar/mounts/switches, gobi ladder, and Hefty aluminum front bumper whenever he gets done w/ it).

--------

Initial impressions:

Alignment is way off, it's currently at Firestone waiting to get picked up.. so hopefully they have that covered.

Nisstec/Radflo sent me two passenger side coilevers and we didn't realize that until we were 90% through the install.. so I still have to get that sorted out (reservoir fitting points the wrong way on the driver side).

Couple of clunks here and there while things presumably settled in on the drive home. Rear is a little squeaky, so might have to get back in there with some grease or something.. probably gonna add shackles and go up another inch or two, so maybe I'll do it then. It's not unbearable by any means.

The rear tire carrier actually makes a lot more noise than expected. Looked into some fixes for that so we'll have to see.

In all.. it drives well.. feels near stock on highway as far as ride quality goes. We'll see how it does off-highway soon enough.

Thanks again for all your help guys! Hopefully I'll get to get this thing in the dirt w/ you guys someday (and try to keep up w/ my 2wd handicap  :D)

The rear bumper noise is coming from the pin. See if adding a flat rubber washer to the swing arm side will help. The best fix is to completely redo the latching system.

Rear spring squeaks can be trace to bushings, I think one of the bushing was tighten before we drop the truck. You can spray some armor all to the bushing and see if it quiet it down for now.

So he did send two passenger shocks! I wasn't crazy. I can fix that for you, I have Nitrogen for the shocks, you will just need a little oil. We will take elbow off and rotate it to the front for the driver side. Also since it's his mistake, see if he will credit you to have someone fix it vs shipping it back.

Alternatively you can see if he wants you to drive to Radflo to take care of the problem

Yeah I'll call Steven at Nisstec later today and see what he thinks. Hopefully I can just head down to Radflo and get it handled since they're basically two exits down the freeway from me. If it comes down to having to do it myself I'll definitely take you up on that offer.

According to a TNX thread, Chris from Hefty will send me a washer to quiet the bumper pin up a bit if I call him.. so I'll do that today too.

I think the rear has already quieted down a bit just from the drive home.. but I'll give that a shot.. really armor all? haha I was planning on trying somehting like spray grease or whatever but I'll trust you and give that a try.

Ah ok that makes sense.. just picked it up from the alignment and it seems like the only noise is the bumper/carrier now.. so that's good.

I don't know about anybody else, but I'm still recovering from Saturday.  And the sad truth is, I didn't even have one beer. :'(
