I have done this with 32 and open diff. I had to winch twice. This was over 10 years ago.

If you are locked and 33s With a winch and full skid you should be ok as long as you can get past the gate keeper. The beginning and end gate keeper was made very hard so people that don't belong there don't get stuck In there. I know they made the gate keeper harder since I gone through it, but there are lines you can take. Walk it, if you are not comfortable, turn around and hit gold mountain or John Bull.

It's an awesome trail that was closed for a while due to fires in the past.

I would not take more than 6 vehicle in the group or you will make t a very very very long day.
I don't have a winch, but I have ample tow points.  Walking is an option and there is actually a go around trail for the west gate-keeper.

I'm pretty bummed I wont be back in time to make this trip.  Yeah Rik Last Chance Canyon did a little number on both of our vehicles.  If this trail run is a success maybe I can make the next one.  Be safe out there.

Ok this is my status.   I am waiting for my truck to get fixed and am planning to use it if done by next weekend.   Otherwise,  I will be riding with my daughter in her rig.   Just to let you know that my daughter and I will be there with one or two rigs next Saturday.   Does somebody want to set a time and meet location.

I was going to give you a call once I heard if you were going or not. I was thinking 1000 in Big Bear at the trail head or the visitor center in Fawnskin? Were coming up that morning so I'm figuring we will need to leave prior to 0700 to give plenty of time with traffic being as it is. Are you guys planning to camp at a YP with us?

I'll be meeting you all in the morning, but I don't think I'll be camping. There's a pretty good chance my oldest daughter will join as passenger.

So we will have a 5 or 6 vehicle conga line, sounds like a good line-up.

This is happening as we speak.   We will have to watch it as it plays out.

I just looked again and It has now destroyed Jacoby Creek.  What a shame, that was such a beautiful trail. :'(
