Considering that Syberia was able to log onto this forum from camp (note the picture he posted just above your post Steve C.), I am betting there is service of some variety there.

I have Verizon and yes there's service.  I used to have T-Mobile and there was no service.  Part of the reason I switched is because Verizon works better off the beaten path.

Make it easy on yourself, get into the desert and shut everything off. It won't take long for decompression to begin its magical effects counteracting the electronic stress machines. Besides there is a no electronics at the campfire at CANVAZ rule. We want to see the glow of the fire not cell phones.

Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to make it. I got SES light today and don't feel comfortable driving 2-3 hours down there not knowing how bad it is and being the one that breaks down on the trail.
