He just got his pro 4x and wanted to compare our engines, ever been to a car show?
That's great you guys still showed up. Hope you'll make the next one. Hey, we're always learning something from these meet-ups! I just got back from Big Bear, testing my upgrades and set up.
Basically did the White Mountain 3N17 West to East, challenging, with just my PRG SPC Advanced kit, 2.5" lift, 33" KO2s at 20 psi (nice pressure on the load E rating). Of course sliders and skids, VERY important first upgrades for protection! This kit was enough with no issues, barely touched bottom (slider) at couple areas. Plenty of sharp rocks, articulation, no problem, happy so far.
You just gotta decide what you want to do in the long term, then upgrade without going overboard with weight and unnec stuff to weigh the truck down. Clearance is very important, but our 4x4 Dana setup is solid, better if you have the rear locker though (Off Road, Pro-4X), needed it in some of the gnarlier areas yesterday.
Even had time to assist recovery of a stuck Ram with a broken driveshaft, my recovery straps, block and shackle put into good use. Cool classic F-100 truck. Always bring some basic recovery kit!
