There is a meetup planned in the Murrieta/Temecula area on Saturday June 8th. This is not Xterra specific, but more of a general overland/off-road rig meetup. I went to the last one in April, and it was pretty cool. Just a bunch of local folks who like to camp and wheel, who wanted to get together and check out each other's vehicles and talk about places to explore/wheel/camp. It started as one local guy on Facebook asking if anyone else wanted to meet for coffee, and has now grown into a pretty good sized meet of 25 or 30 rigs each month. Last time, there were all kinds of rigs ranging from stock pickups to heavily modified Jeeps and 4 Runners. There were quite a few 4 Runners and Tacomas on hand.
I will be at the June 8th meetup and I think 0317 is coming too. I was the only Xterra at the last one, but it would be cool to have a nice showing this time. All of you SD folks who said Saturdays work best for you in the Food Truck Meetup thread, I'm looking at you
The event is organized through Facebook, but if you're not an active participant within said book of faces, just show up! It starts at 9:30 am and folks usually hang out for about 2 or 3 hours. If we have a big enough turnout from our group, we can always grab lunch or something afterwards, too.
Location is:
Intazza Coffee Works
38860 Sky Canyon Dr, Building B
Murrieta, CA 92563
If you're interested in joining the facebook group, it's called "Temecula/Murrieta Rig Meetup."
