Topic: Front bumper

 Hi New to the club have a 2006 Nissan Xterra,  I want to put an aftermarket front bumper with wench on it but I would like to build it myself is there any CAD drawings out there? Anybody in the central San Diego area or beach area that has an aftermarket front bumper I could look at? I am a welder and I am thinking about building it out of aluminum .

To my knowledge there are no CAD drawings of any bumpers available.  The biggest thing I can recommend when building your own bumper with a winch is to tie into the front and bottom holes in the frame horns.  Any bumper that will have pulling forces needs to utilize the bottom holes as they are where the factory recovery points are bolted so they are braced for pulling loads, other than that it is all up to your personal preference.
