I was reading an article that was saying Coyote Flats is on an average
10 degrees cooler than Mammoth Lakes so prepare accordingly

Can confirm, cold at night.  Bring a jacket or prepare to cuddle with Celt for warmth.

Not mine, but one of my sons is coming along.

Rocks are awesome Joe. I mean who doesn't want custom rock formed sheet metal? Look at this beauty from Coyote Lake Trail (near Shaver Lake) Saturday.

Does anyone want to meet up on the road and do a convoy?
I think everyone has to go by the Pilot at the start of the 395.

Punch this into the google and let me know.

So, Jay wants us here (37.3463713 -118.438787) by 1pm.
The google says it's 3h39m from the Pilot to there.
Allowing for bathroom breaks and a little wiggle room, I'd say meet up at 8, leave at 8:30ish?

I would like to stop in Randsburg for 15-20 minutes if that.
74miles, 1hr 20min North of the Pilot Station , just off 395

Almost got the wife convinced to go.  Showed her a video on YouTube that made the road look easy.  I'll have a definite answer in a day or two.

Woody - Jessica is coming.

We have also decided to leave the boy with Nana, so it'll just be the two of us. Since no other kids are coming, he'll just be bored out of his mind and drive us crazy anyway. :o We'll do a different "kid friendly" trip in a few weekends for him, maybe Santa Rosa Mountain or Big Bear.
