Damn it guys, hate to say that my worst fears have come true and I can't make it.  I recently moved from LB to Culver City and need to buy a new fridge before I can go out and play.  Really sucks because this is going to be an epic journey, and may not have another chance to go wheeling in the rain and snow in a loooooong time!

We're are still in (Zoe and I)

I want to reiterate the following because we're in for some weather.

Bring warm clothes (gloves, jackets, boots, etc - whatever you need to keep toasty)

Food for 3 days (i usually bring a bunch of energy bars and water for emergencies)

CHAINS if you have them.

Usual rigging for a run (tow straps, clevis shackles, tools, etc)

Prepare to air down more than usual.

If anyone has a "locked" vehicle they should be near the leaders in front to help pack down the snow for the open dif trucks behind like me :)

CB or FRS radios

Post if I forgot anything.

After peeps meet at the Primary and Secondary Meets spots we will join up at the trail head.

Can someone double check if this is the trailhead (running N to S):  34.370029,-116.650615

You guys should have a lot of fun up there. Looking forward to seeing the pictures and hearing about it.  I'm definitely out, as I just got home a few minutes ago from a 6-day trip.

Oz's post above makes some good points.  If you plan to go all the way up to Big Bear be sure to take chains, in case the CHP enforces restrictions for the roads out of there.  It's maybe a bit late to mention this now, but everyone should have a way to air tires back up (or a friend willing to loan you something). Don't forget, as Brian mentioned earlier, you can turn down Burns Canyon towards Pioneer Town and Yucca Valley if the snow is too bad further up. You'll still have a really nice time.

Also, this probably goes without saying, but I think it should be clear that this run will be 4WD only (NO 2WD).

Lori and I would liked to have made this one. We had a great time with you all at Borrego a couple months back. Next time for sure. Maybe Calico or the Panamints in March?
That's gonna leave a mark
