Questions about SCCXterra and the board
« on: April 13, 2010, 12:54:20 PM »
Just wondering how things work...

  • Is Southern California Club Xterra and open club?
  • Can anyone join?
  • What are membership requirements?
  • Are there membership dues?
  • Do you solicit $$$ for this web site?
  • Do members get to wear a fez?

I like what I see, hope to make some future runs with y'all (if that's okay) but don't want to be a freeloader.   ;)

Phil,

Here are your answers.

Is Southern California Club Xterra and open club?
Yes
Can anyone join?
Yes
What are membership requirements?
None really but it is strongly recommended that you read the trip requirements
Are there membership dues?
No
Do you solicit $$$ for this web site?
No
Do members get to wear a fez?
If you want to

There are unofficial rules we impose on certain members but you'll learn all about that as you become more familiar with Dan and John.
I'd rather be happy than right any day.

Thanks Mr. Yellow.  Following your suggestion I have read the "Excursion Guidelines" post.  Good, thorough, pretty standard fare and I totally concur and would not want to do anything less to participate with you guys on a run.

BTW-you really, really have one bad-azz looking X.  Your rack, is that a Yakima Load-Warrior?

Thanks.

Yes, it's the load warrior with the extension.  It works well for me and I've had it loaded up like the Beverly Hillbillies with no problems.

I can't believe it took you this long to figure it out  . . . but, how else would I have paid for the lift and armor?

Mitch did make a yellow fez but sewed the "M" upside down - a common problem with yellow Xterra owners have.

Hi John.  I'm glad you could join us.  It is a "W" and it stands for Weiner.
