Rattlesnake Rnd 2
« on: April 03, 2011, 11:58:43 PM »
My wife and I revisited Rattlesnake Canyon about 4-5 weeks ago...  The trail changed a lot at a few places where tons of dirt were displaced by the recent rains.  There were a few folks up there panning... I was so jealous... as soon as I got up there I started thinking about panning after the rains.

since I'm pretty much stock I had to really take my time at a few places...   The pics don't really show any of the most difficult spots, i was concentrating on not damaging my truck so I didn't take any pics...  The crappy bumper did save my ass though, you don't see it in any of the pics but I got a big dent in that lower front bar of the bumper where I hit a rock...  I'm glad I had that crappy bumper--better than the plastic.  It was a lot of fun regardless of the damage---which i'll be replacing with the shrock when I can...  The tires really helped out a lot, my pressure was about 13 lbs and it was nice and smooth!

I still haven't been able to get out with you guys yet but I do plan on coming out one of these times...  I have a nice cinema camera and the tools at home to make some sweet videos!

I was thinking of running that in a couple of weeks. There's suppose to be a couple of camp sites but we've never seen them nor stopped for an over night.

Either Rattlesnake or Bradshaw with Red Canyon/Saint Augustine Pass ....

Very cool pics. looks like a lot of fun.

You're blessed to have a wife that does that kind of stuff w/ you. (Still wife hunting here.)
I'm trying to figure out something witty.

Great pictures. Looks like a fun trail. Look forward to exploring that area next month.

I think I saw some right at the top of the trail past the cattle guard...   I'm ready to go somewhere else now but that's the only trail that's somewhat challenging and doesn't take 4-6 hours to drive to...   Man, I need to get out of the technology business, I hate the city...

I've only gone on solo runs up there so imagine having to navigate that in a stock ride by yourself...
